Job Profile
The ideal candidate will have the responsibility for the overall processing and administration of insurance policies and provision of operational support for all key producer (sales) departments and other back office units. To ensure the overall processing and administration of OPEX and CAPEX transactions.
Functions & Responsibilities
      Provide and ensure proper documentation of all source documents used for transaction processing
      Ensure transactions are properly approved by authorized signatories and within budget before processing.
      Ensure prompt posting of all transactions within agreed timelines
      Provide evidence of payment for all transactions processed daily
      Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external Insurance operation policies/ regulations
      Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints in conjunction with partner units
      Have responsibility for the prompt reconciliation of all bank accounts and company GLs.
      Ensure that Bank Reconciliation statements are prepared promptly and the transactions posted as they     occur.
      Prepare proofs for all GL accounts in use by operations
      Ensure proper callover of transactions before close of business daily
      Develop and document processes that would aid transaction processing on an ongoing basis
      Ensure proper callover of transactions before close of business daily
      Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports of premium collections and claims paid
      Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualification /Experience/ Professional Membership
·         A good first degree in any discipline
·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial services institution .Experience in accounting and reconciliation will be an added advantage
·         Good Numerical and Presentation Skills
·         Accounting certification or any other professional qualification will be an added advantage
