The Relationship Officer is to ensure sales and customer relationships are developed and maintained by providing excellent relationship management backed by innovative products and services that add value to the customer while minimizing costs and risk to the company and also giving daily leadership and direction to the team.
Functions & Responsibilities
- New Business Development
- Prepare periodic reports for the team
- Prepare Team’s budget
- Generate comprehensive lead list and sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals, obtain price quotes for clients
- Collate and manage robust customer data for analytics
- Adopt company/regulatory policies when delivering service and regularly report to the branch office
- Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitably
- Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals or updates.
- Consistently close sales and achieve monthly activity KPIs and revenue goals.
Required Qualification /Experience/ Professional Membership
- First degree in any discipline with a minimum of Second Class Honors. Relevant Master’s Degree will be an advantage
- Professional Membership
- A recognized professional certification will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Insurance or financial services industry
